5 Awesome Musical Moments In Film

Lloyd Dobler holding a boombox over his head while blasting "In Your Eyes" outside of Diane Court's window is an iconic musical movie scene. It is, probably, one of the most iconic music scenes in film history slightly rivaled by Mr. Blonde cutting off the cop's ear while Stealers Wheel's "Stuck In The Middle" played on the radio or Linda Barrett slowly rising out of the pool and opening her top to The Cars' "Moving In Stereo" These are a small amount of great music moments. With so many great moments, there are probably half as many that are overlooked. Here are five of those awesome and sadly overlooked moments.
5. The Circle Jerks as a lounge band (Repo Man)
Seriously, it's the Circle Jerks as a lounge band doing a lounge version of "When The Shit Hits The Fan." The premise alone is worth a laugh but to see them in the jackets performing is funnier. Adding to the image is Otto (Emilo Estevez) saying "I used to like these guys."

4. "All You Can Eat" (Krush Groove)
The Fat Boys go to town at a Sbarro and have an awesome song to go with it. Krush Groove had plenty of great numbers but there is something so cool about The Fat Boys eating, rhyming about food all while beatboxing with bread. It's also had the line "We'll eat everything. An incredible feat. $3.99 for all you can eat."

3. The Nerds Lambda Lambda Lambda Party (Revenge Of The Nerds)
Long story short, this scene setups two of the three best revenge scenes in the film, the panty raid scene and the Liquid Heat scene. Had those this scene never happened, those two things would've never happened and the nerds would've never been accepted as Tri-Lams. Also, nerds getting drunk and high to Michael Jackson and Gleaming Spires while fornicating is amusing.

2. Sir Smokes-A-Lot (Half Baked)
Dave Chappelle's depressed, pot obsessed rapper has some of the best scenes in the movie but it his introduction that is gold. I'm not sure whether it's punching his crew, talking about "flying to the moon" or called himself "gifted" but there is something really funny about his first appearance in the film.

1. From Justin To Kelly (From Justin To Kelly)
Why, you may ask? Simply put, it's bad and laughably bad at that. The plot is generic even for a musicial. The acting will bring tears to your eyes but, most importantly, you'll find out as Kelly explains to Justin in a women's washroom that her friends call her Kelly for short. Mind you, she never explains what Kelly could be short for. That along with the other 80+ minutes make this the best beach comedy since Cataina Caper and that had Little Richard. Hmm...I wonder what Little Richard is short for.

Seeing as it is hard to find clips for such a classy film. Please enjoy these side splitting outtakes.
