Free Scion A/V Garage Show Tonight With Hex Dispensers & King Tuff!!!! Tonight!!!

Looking for a free and exciting night? Yes, you read that correctly, free and exciting. Scion A/V is prepared to offer you this with a free show combining Texas punks, Hex Dispensers and the powerpop of Vermont's King Tuff. This show, part of the Scion A/V Garage series, give you a chance to check two very talented, up and coming artists for nothing more than a RSVP to scionav.com/garageshow.

As far as rock goes, this is a very nice mix of lo-fi rock sounds meant to be played loud and heard live. Hex Dispensers play fast and loud, like a punk band should and with excellent guitar solos weaved into the tracks. Equally as impressive as their own songs are their powerful covers of Devo's "Gates of Steel" and Tubeway Army's "Down in the Park." King Tuff, on the other hand, provides hazy, reverbed powerpop. Imagine if The Replacements were to make 60's sounding pop-rock albums with a vocal recording similar to 80's British shoegaze bands, then you would have something close to the sound of King Tuff.

The show is tonight at Empty Bottle and you have until 8 p.m. to get your RVSP in to the address above. I am sure there are plenty of ways to spend a Thursday night bit none of theem are free and feature music this awesome. Also, be sure to visit the Hex Dispensers and King Tuff at their respective MySpace sites. Check out some examples below, be sure to RVSP and get ready to rock tonight!

P.S. Hex Dispensers recorded a incredible cover of Devo's "Gates of Steel" on their recent album, Winchester Mystery House. As a fan of Devo, I have to say this is definitely my favorite cover of this track, period.
