Tori Amos has a new album, Night of Hunters, on the way and the ensuing tour to promote it. In addition to this, Amos has joined up with Lomography for a brand new limited edition camera in her name as well as a very interesting competition for her fans and amateur photographers.
Amos and the camera company have teamed up for the limited edition "TORI" Diana F+ camera. The 120mm camera has a run of 2000 units and will come as part of a package featuring a special edition "China" lens set featuring a wide angle and telephoto lens, a flash, a roll of 120 mm color film, custom "TORI" cover Diana F+ book, a photograph of Amos taken in Moscow, Russia using her signature camera and Live from Moscow, an unreleased and exclusive double live album signed by the singer-songwriter herself. The "TORI" set is going for $150 plus shipping and handling (prices vary depending on your country) and can be purchased here.
As stated earlier, there is also a contest in conjunction with all of this. The Tori Amos Inspiration Competition is a chance for her fans and lomographers to shoot photos inspired by their choice of any of the cities listed. The cities listed for your inspiration in Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, New York, Berlin, London, Paris, Rome, Moscow and Amsterdam and one winner will be picked for each city by Amos herself. The photo chosen for each city will be used in the program for the Night of Hunters tour in addition to being featured on her site on the performance date of that city. The grand prize winners will also receive autographed copies of the album and the program and a tour t-shirt. For the 90 runner-ups, you will receive the limited edition camera and a copy of Amos' new album.
The contest runs throughout July and Night of Hunters is due in stores in September. Find out more about the contest here and good luck on your entries.
