Indie Ghetto

Every so often, you come across something online that amuses you. At the same time, it also impresses you and you can not stop watching it. Indie Ghetto is one of those things that just does it for me.

Indie Ghetto is a British project in which Indie artists (singers, poets, comedians, etc) cover a wide variety of Hip Hop and R & B songs and in a variety of different ways. There are poetic versions of Eric B & Rakim's "Microphone Fiend" and Beastie Boys' "Sabotage." Kate Nash does a humorously acoustic version of "Hollaback Girl" and she can't help but laugh while performing. Each of the artists record very interesting versions of the songs and the results are enjoyable to hear. Check out Indie Ghetto at their Myspace and YouTube pages.

Here are a few Indie Ghetto videos for your approval.
