For The Last Time....LCD Soundsystem
As reported last year, James Murphy stated that This is Happening would be the last LCD Soundsystem album and outside of a few singles, it would be the end of the critically acclaimed band. Well, the time has come to say farewell to Murphy's brilliant project and he is taking the band out in style. By style, I mean a three-hour final performance at Madison Square Garden featuring special guests.
The performance is set for April 2 and lucky for you there will be a presale on what will be noted as the concert of the year. There are two ways to obtain your ticket in advance to this event. The first way is purchase one at 10:00 a.m. EST at the Mercury Lounge box office at 217 E. Houston in New York, New York 10022. The tickets will be limited to two per person, is first come, first serve and, best of all, free from Ticketmast service charges. The second way, easier if you are not in New York, is Pitchfork's presale. By clicking on this link and entering the code "lastever," you will be able to secure your tickets. This presale begins at 10:00 a.m. EST and will continue until Friday at 8:00 a.m. EST, after which the tickets will go on sale.
You owe it yourself to experience this once in a lifetime event as people will be talking about it for the rest of the year and will give New York City the proper finale that Seinfeld should have given them.
