Might As Well Jump...On This Deal

If you've pre-ordered or plan on pre-ordering Guitar Hero 5, Activision has a little incentive for you...a free, advance copy of Guitar Hero: Van Halen.
In addition to the pre-ordered copies, specially marked retail editions of Guitar Hero 5 will allow you a chance to "Dance The Night Away" with an advance copy of the Van Halen game as well. Activision recently spoke to IGN about the deal and said:

"This is a gift w/purchase, so it applies to anyone who purchases the game before the set date. As long as you purchase the game in September (which includes all pre-orders, past and present) you will get a copy of GHVH. This is a mail-in offer that allows people the chance to get Guitar Hero Van Halen prior to it being available at retail. There is no cost associated with this gift with purchase offer."

You can find out more on this deal by clicking the IGN link above or by visiting the Van Halen Offer Page.

Also, as a sidenote, courtesy of IGN, a lot of the Mom-and-Pop arcades that most of us grew up with are closing due to financial concerns, the climate of video games changing, etc. Stide Gum is stepping in to help out at least one arcade. Read about their contest to help out an arcade here. Why am I mentioning this? I'm certain a lot of you spent time and quarters playing Dance Dance Revolution, Beatmania or, now, Guitar Hero in arcades so why not help out an arcade. Also, you get to play a fun, free, retro side scrolling video game.
